Prior to joining Abbott Tout, John spent six years as town planner and in-house solicitor for Sutherland Shire Council. Government departments also retain John for advice on planning matters.
As a qualified mediator, he has a particular interest in conflict resolution through negotiation and mediation. He has been involved in a large number of public hearings and has a strong understanding of the procedural, legal and planning aspects needed to effectively adjudicate and mediate planning disputes.
